Elamos Indoor

Tsunami is one of the most fatal and destructive disaster on earth. It could cause fatal loss such as death, injury, damages, destruct building in their path. Tsunami could occur because of tectonic earthquake, underwater volcanic eruptions, or/and underwater landslides. Since after Aceh’s Tsunami in 2004, Indonesian Government were aware of urgency of having tsunami early warning system, where InaTEWS (Indonesia Tsunami Early Waning System) were deployed. InaTEWS will detect any sea wave abnormality and announce early warning system via loadspeaker placed in open space. However, this announcement might not be heard to those who are inside the building. Elamos (Earthquake Alert and Monitoring System) is the extension for the existing system, so that the announcement could be heard to the people located in indoor buildings.
How It Work

Elamos consist of three main parts: Central Site, Server Site, and Client Site. The Central Site is located in Denpasar City which has the task to trigger Elamos alert if Tsunami strikes or in monthly tsunami drill through a web application. The trigger is done manually by DMB officer. The Server Site contains web application and database which should be accessed by Central Site to activate tsunami alarm. Client Site is the client of this system, located at indoor buildings which will receive the alert and ring the attached loadspeaker. This system has been successfully implemented at many hotels as the Client Site, in Denpasar City and the surrounding areas.
