Regent of Sragen Regency Dr. Kusdinar Untung Yuni Sukowati inaugurated clean water facilities and infrastructure for the people of Karanganom Village, Kec. Sukodono and Kandangsapi Village, Jenar District, Sragen Regency. This clean water facility is a form of social care (Corporate Social Responsibility) from PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi (Mitratel).
“The government, together with business actors, is responsible for providing services to the community, especially regarding primary needs,” said Yuni, the Sragen Regent’s nickname. The area around Kec. Sukodono and District. Jenar still really needs facilities to provide clean water, so the assistance provided by Mitratel greatly eases the burden on the people in this area.
Meanwhile, Mitratel has a commitment to always provide maximum contributions and benefits to all stakeholders including the environment and society, especially in business areas spread throughout Indonesia. Mitratel also always strives to help improve community welfare and participate in building the nation and state.
Mitratel President Director Herlan Wijanarko said that clean water is one of the basic human needs. With the location of the water source being quite far from residential areas, this water reservoir is one of the best solutions for providing clean water. This is the reason Mitratel directs its CSR program to provide clean water facilities and infrastructure. “Through the CSR program, we help the community to provide clean water storage facilities along with pipeline networks and distribution tanks,” explained Herlan.
The Regent of Sragen Regency and the Main Director of Mitratel symbolically opened the water tap from the secondary tank as a sign that the clean water storage facility could be used by residents. The Regent expressed his appreciation to Mitratel for providing clean water facilities for its residents.
“With the availability of clean water, it is hoped that environmental sanitation can improve which will have an impact on a clean and healthy lifestyle.” Yuni said.
