Sragen, Mitratel built clean water facilities and infrastructure for the community in the village of Kandangsapi, Jenar District and Karanganom Village, Sukodono District, Sragen Regency, Central Java.
Mitratel President Director Herlan Wijanarko, accompanied by Operations & IT Director Teddy Hartoko, laid the first stone to mark the start of construction of clean water facilities.
Herlan said the construction of clean water facilities and infrastructure for these two villages in Sragen Regency are part the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility.
“In accordance with Mitratel’s tagline, ‘Potential Everywhere’, we believe that the existence of Mitratel must make a real contribution to a better Indonesia. Our goal is to provide value that can spread potential and create opportunities for all stakeholders including the community, so that they can help them realize their dreams, “said Herlan.
The prolonged dry season for almost 6 months has resulted drought and a lack of clean water, especially for people in Sragen Regency. Residents of these two villages must struggle to get clean water about 800 meters from their residence.
“We hope that the construction of clean water facilities and infrastructure can provide benefits, in particular with regard to the basic needs of the community to obtain clean water and improve the quality of health,” Herlan said at the location, Friday (1/11).
Meanwhile, the Head of the Kandangsapi Village expressed his gratitude for Mitratel’s initiative to develop clean water facilities and infrastructure. “There is new hope for citizens to overcome the water crisis in the future,” he said.
Danang Hermawan, Section Head of Prevention and Preparedness of the Sragen Regency BPBD expressed thanks and appreciated Mitratel’s assistance to carry out physical construction in terms of disaster mitigation. “We hope that the people of the villages of Kandangsapi and Karanganom can manage and maintain this facility so that it will be be useful and provide sustainable benefits for our shared welfare,” Danang said in his remarks.
“The construction of clean water facilities in the form of water pumping facilities, pipe installation, and construction of the water reservoir is targeted for completion in December 2019 so that it can have a direct and immediate impact on the people of Kandangsapi Village and Karanganom Village,” concluded Herlan Wijanarko.
