
Herlan Wijanarko, the President Director of Mitratel, and his staff deliver assistance to the residents of Kunjir Village who were affected by the Sunda Strait tsunami disaster in Kalianda, Lampung (1/14).
Mitratel’s target of assistance is primarily directed to residents living in the areas of the telecommunications towers under its management.
Herlan expressed his deep condolences for the tragedy in Lampung. As a representative of all Mitratel employees, assured continuous prayers for the rapid recovery of the tsunami-affected areas.
The assistance provided by Mitratel was in the form of kitchen equipment to build public kitchens for residents and cash donations to aid in the repair and improvement of houses damaged by the tsunami. The assistance provided is a contribution from all Mitratel employees and the company.
The Mitratel group’s visit was received by village officials (Village Head, Village Secretary, Head of BPD) as well as representatives of Kunjir Village residents.
In his speech, the Head of Kunjir Village, Arlizon expressed his abundant gratitude to Mitratel for their invaluable assistance. He emphasized that there are 13 houses located around the telecommunications tower, which will directly benefit from Mitratel’s assistance. Apart from that, Arlizon called for collective prayers from the community, highlighting the economic revitalization in Lampung, especially Kunjir Village, so they can become self-sufficient and not reliant on assistance from donors.
