
Jakarta – As a company committed to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk (Mitratel) consistently implements Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility through various community and environmental empowerment programs, which also serve as the company’s support for the BUMN Bakti Program.
A number of the company’s Community and Environmental Empowerment programs throughout 2024 also target a number of sectors.
In the agricultural sector, Mitratel provided assistance in the form of 1,500 vanilla seedlings to the Lembah Ulu Kasok Forest Farmer Group (KTH), Koto Masjid Village, XIII Koto Kampar District, Kampar Regency, Riau, on Monday, September 23, 2024. This program is a form of the company’s contribution and concern in restoring the ecosystem and empowering farmer groups to improve the economy of communities around forest areas.
Not stopping there, Mitratel also encourages biodiversity by planting 1,000 mangroves on 250 m2 of land on the Tambakrejo Coast, Semarang City, Central Java, which is expected to support the residents of Tambakrejo Village in reducing the risk of seawater abrasion.
From the social side through the Mitratel Berbagi program, the company collected donations of up to IDR 75 million from all company employees to help victims of the flood and landslide disasters in West Sumatra, distributed through the Minang Bandung Indonesia Foundation (YMBI), on May 22, 2024. Mitratel together with Baznas also shared 1,445 packages of kindness in the month of Ramadan 1,445 H to beneficiaries spread across Mitratel’s operational areas, 4 areas and 11 regions in Indonesia, worth IDR 500 million. Mitratel also carried out social activities in special schools (SLB), places of worship, and retirement homes during 2024.
In the health sector, Mitratel conducted a blood donation campaign attended by more than 300 employees in collaboration with Dharmais Cancer Hospital and Forsikatel Group Mitratel (FGM).
Community empowerment in the education sector is developed through equal education. Mitratel provides support for the Solar Panel System developed together with ITB to provide clean renewable energy. Through this program, Mitratel provides a solar panel system at SDN Sukawening Warjabakti, Cimaung District, Bandung Regency, West Java, on September 24, 2024, to help teaching and learning activities.
Mitratel has also innovated and adopted the use of low-carbon construction materials, namely Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) as the main material for building towers that have been successfully implemented in 1 location and Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) as a pole reinforcement material in 20 locations. The use of this material not only reduces the weight of the tower to be lighter, but also significantly reduces carbon emissions.

The company also supports the provision of real-time weather and air quality monitoring solutions (IoT weather and air quality). This service has been tested at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium in Jakarta.
Rating ESG
The Company also focuses on supporting the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) program as an inseparable part of the Company’s business development policy.
“We believe in the importance of implementing ESG as part of the company’s business continuity and at the same time providing a positive impact on society,” said Mitratel President Director, Theodorus Ardi Hartoko, who is familiarly called Teddy, in Jakarta (28/2/2025).
In terms of ESG scores, Mitratel received a positive assessment from Morningstar Sustainalytics, a global research institution that focuses on ranking companies in terms of sustainability issues.
Pada Oktober 2024, Sustainalytics mencatat ESG Risk Rating Mitratel di level 19,3 atau kategori risiko rendah (low risk), menempati posisi teratas di industri telekomunikasi di Tanah Air. Secara global, ada lebih dari 15.000 perusahaan dari 42 industri yang dinilai, dimanasemakin rendah angka mencerminkan tingkat risiko yang semakin baik.
In October 2024, Sustainalytics recorded Mitratel’s ESG Risk Rating at 19.3 or low risk category, occupying the top position in the telecommunications industry in the country. Globally, there are more than 15,000 companies from 42 industries assessed, where the lower the number reflects a better level of risk.
Until the third quarter of 2024, Mitratel continues to lead the telecommunications tower industry, with 39,259 towers or an increase of 5.8% annually and supported by fiber optic assets reaching 39,714 km or 36.7% longer than in 2023.
