REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The shares of a subsidiary of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero), PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk (MTEL) or Mitratel, managed to become new residents in the IDX80 and Kompas100 index stock lists for the period August 2002-2023. Mitratel Chief Investment Officer Hendra Purnama said this shows a high level of investor confidence in the company’s fundamentals and financial performance.
This was revealed in the results of the July 2022 Indonesia Stock Exchange assessment, which changed the composition of the stock exchange reference index on Monday (25/7). IDX indicates that the results of this evaluation will be effective on August 1, 2022.

The inclusion of Mitratel as a resident of the IDX80 and Kompas100 indexes shows that the listing of shares of Telkom’s subsidiary engaged in telecommunications infrastructure is very liquid and has high value, said Hendra in a written statement in Jakarta, Tuesday (26/7). .
Hendra explained that IDX80 is an index that measures the price performance of 80 stocks that are very liquid and have a large market capitalization, and are supported by good company fundamentals. Meanwhile, Kompas100 is a stock price index consisting of 100 stocks with high liquidity, large market capitalization, as well as good fundamentals and financial performance.
“I am grateful for the trust of investors and authorities in our company,” said Hendra.
Hendra added that on June 20, Mitratel shares were also included in the FTSE Global Index stock list for the Mid-Cap, FTSE All-World, FTSE All-Cap and FTSE Total Cap series. Hendra said Mitratel’s shares are the only shares in the Indonesian capital market that fall into the four categories at once.
According to Hendra, the FTSE Equity Global Index or FTSE GEIS is one of the global indices that is used as a benchmark for international investment. Hendra hopes that Mitratel’s inclusion in the IDX80, Kompas100 and FTSE Global Index new residents list will be a positive sentiment for the movement of its stock prices.
“Mitratel’s share price jumped 20 percent last month, closing at Rp 725 on Monday (25/7). Last week, Mitratel shares also rose 10 percent. Mitratel shares rose supported by the company’s satisfactory business performance,” continued Hendra. .
Hendra said Mitratel is a telecommunications tower company with the highest tower and subscriber growth during the period 2018 to 2021 compared to its competitors. Furthermore, continued Hendra, Mitratel has the largest anchor customer which is the largest cellular operator with the best credit rating, which competitors from other tower companies do not have.
Hendra said Mitratel is not only a leader in the telecommunications tower industry, but also one of the main players, both in terms of number and coverage of telecommunications towers.
“Mitratel’s advantage in terms of the number and breadth of tower coverage is what attracts our company to compete with other companies and supports our strong business fundamentals,” added Hendra.
